Here are the slides from my talk at the IA Konferenz in Munich, Germany. My talk covered my interaction design process for mobile, the tools I use to do this, and then I go into why we shouldn’t develop a separate strategy for mobile and instead just develop a strategy for the entire user experience. It is a bit of a high-level talk and I don’t go into technical details but its worth checking out.
Thanks to everyone who attended my talk at UX Lx. This was my first time giving a talk outside of the united states and I am happy to hear that it was well-received. For those who are interested, here are the slides from my talk. Feel free to get in touch with me if you have questions that you were not able to ask in the Q&A at the end of my talk.
Researchers at the Human Media Lab at Queen’s University, Canada and Arizona State University’s Motivational Environments Research group have created a prototype electronic paper phone. The PaperPhone prototype was created to observe how easy it was for people to control a thin device using a series of interactions which include bending and flexing. The research found 8 individual bend gesture patterns and apparently there are around 174 ways to bend electronic paper. Learn more about the PaperPhone experiment at the Human Media Lab.
