Konigi 404 page

One of those small details that often gets overlooked when wireframing or designing a website are the error pages.  Today I had the pleasure (really!) of visiting the 404 error page on Konigi which gave me a good laugh but actually turned out useful as some of the items in the flow are clickable where appropriate.  Our 404 error page on NickFinck.com isn’t quite as handy but entertaining never the less.  If my site had search or something more “high tech” than a bunch of blog entry pages I would include it on my 404 page.  Some tips on 404 pages can be found on this older A List Apart article titled The Perfect 404 by Ian Lloyd and in this UXBooth article on 5 Tips to Make Your 404 Page More Usable by Matthew Kammerer.
