Radio Johnny: Nick Finck and the Collective Voice

Recently I had the privilege and honor of being interviewed by the great Jeff Parks for Johnny Holland.  This was my first podcast interview in quite some time.  The conversation meanders between the philosophy of user experience, social media, corporate culture, the voice of the people, transparency & marketing, trust, failure and more.

I highly recommend you take an hour to listen to the full thing, even if you are not a UX professional there is still a great deal of take-aways on a business level in this interview.  In addition, at the end of the interview I make a personal announcement public for the first time.  I hope you enjoy listening to it!

That’s the biggest problem we have in America to be honest, is that we don’t trust the people who do the work. We only trust what the stakeholders are telling us, what the stockholders are buying or not buying.

You can see more quotes, download the full podcast via iTunes, or grab the M4A or MP3 file on the interview page.  I had a really great time doing the interview and am happy to finally have some material on Johnny Holland.  Also, don’t forget to check out all the other amazing interviews on Radio Johnny as well.  They have interviewed some really brilliant UX people in prior podcasts.
