The Screen Experience

The Screen Experience
Sep 17th, 2010

TAT’s (The Astonishing Tribe) has been looking at the evolution of screen technology, here is a video of what screens will look like tomorrow as part of the Open Innovation Experiment.  Meanwhile just a few days ago Bill Buxton, Microsoft’s Principal Researcher, stated that they are developing technology that will make screens “no thicker than a sheet of glass” and “not only emit light but also be like flatbed scanners.”  I am still curious if they will develop something that is more like foldable paper rather than glass like exemplified in Kyocera’s concept phone or with a newspaper/magazine user experience like the work of Bonnier R&D and BERG.
