The User Experience of Sign-Up

The User Experience of Sign-Up
May 20th, 2009

Joshua Porter has a great presentation about desinging for sign-up on SlideShare from Webstock 2009.  To me the title should be The User Experience of Sign-Up. The interesting part about the presentation is that it really doesn’t talk about sign-up forms.  Instead it focuses on content, calls to action, user motivation, types of users and levels of interest.  Bravo Joshua, bravo. The next time you hear someone describing user experience as just a new name for interaction design or information architecture, point them to this presentation.  UX is much more than just IA or IXD, its about the user, their motivations and the strategy behind guiding, well, the user experience.  [via Konigi]
