Vote for Nick?
Aug 20th, 2009
Ok, so apparently I am involved in two different campaigns of late. One I was egarly anticipating, the other came unannounced and unexpected, but both great news.
First, a campaign for the panel Raina Van Cleave and I will present at SXSW Interactive if accepted. Its called The Ten Commandments of User Experience which is a hybrid between the talk I did at Webmaster Jam Session in 2008 entitled The Seven Commandments Of User Experience and Raina’s follow-up article to the talk where she expands on the idea to include an additional 3 commandments with a more fitting title of Ten Commandments of User Experience. You can read about the talk and vote on it if you like it here.
Second, a campaign for a Board of Directors seat within the Information Architecture Institute. This was actually a bit of a shock to me that I was initially nominated by Liv Labate, someone who I have great respect for. And then also nominated later by Michael Angeles who has helped me out in so many ways I can’t count. You can see a full list of the nominees here. I think it would great to be on the board and help steer IAI in a direction more in sync with the current shifts the user experience industry is seeing. If you are a IAI member, I am hoping you will vote for me should I become one of the final candidates. Updates on that when I hear news.
