Citibank
A Data Requirements document is essentially a spreadsheet that documents the behavior and association of every input and output on a page in relation to the database and backend programming. Even more so the document will specify requirements as far as how many characters are allowed, or what kind of characters are allowed, if the field can be left blank when continuing, etc.
The Data Requirements for the Citibank project we compiled though several meetings with the client and the team that runs the ACAPS credit application processing system. The data needed to match the requirements set by ACAPS or the data would quickly become useless. Street addresses, for example had to be broken down to several fields, one for street number, street name, street direction, and so on.
