Contributor Guidelines

Contributor Guidelines are a set of rules defined by a sites editorial board if a site received content from 3rd party sources. The guidelines include things such as editorial style, article length, file formats, use of graphics and color, article topic requirements as well as compensation and copyright information.

For a publication like Digital Web Magazine it is critical that our contributors know what to expect and that our editors know what is and is not acceptable material. The editorial board and I spent some time nailing down our house style and picking which editorial style we decided to go with (in this case Strunk/White). We also included technical guidelines for authors that submitted material in web format and for artists who submitted cover art and other graphics.
