Intel Microelectronics Services

Web Site Development

Intel Microelectronics Services

In April of 2001, I was hired by Intel to help them with their Intranet, Internet, and Extranet web sites for their Intel Microelectronics Services division. Intel Microelectronics Services (IME) was Intel's first step into fabless ASIC design and manufacturing services using out-sourced fabs and in-house leading IP including 10-gigabit-per-second IP cores. One of the driving factors behind their web presence was to provide production information and metrics to the client on-demand.

While the Intranet site served the employees of IME, the Extranet site served the client's needs by keeping track of every project and schedule. The Internet site served the prospects and clients as well by delivering general information about services and products Intel Microelectronics Services offered. The site was designed by Hanlon Brown, a preferred vendor of Intel. I worked on the implementation of the design as well as site maintenance and web application production.
