Wisconsin's Maritime Trails
Web Site Development

The Wisconsin Historical Society wanted to create a new site that interfaced with their Maritime Trails information and shipwreck database.
They determined that Rapidigm would be the best vendor for their needs. I was brought onto the project as a web developer. The first part of the process was to take the new design and develop templates for each page. I used a CSS driven layout with XHTML for the markup.
While the CSS design was ideal for modern browsers, they found that a lot of their visitors were using older versions of AOL and older browsers. So a compromise had to be met by using XHTML for layout and CSS only for style. The end result is a beautiful aesthetic and a solid structured layout.
