Graphic visualizations are an important tool when it comes down to explaining complicated systems and relationships. At Intel the Microelectronics Team needed a simple explanation of all of the visitors to their Intranet, Extranet and Internet Web sites. I created the visualization to the right to explain the different types of user profiles and relationships to each other.
As you can see the graphic is separated into six components that range from engineering to marketing. Around the edge of the graphic you will see a list of external sources that includes customers, prospects, and fabs. These are all resources that Intel communicates with during any given business day. The closer the items on the graphic are to each other the closer the relationship is.
